‘Cloud Child is like candyfloss: a sweet storyline for a child to chew on.’

Work placement theatre tech student Rebecca Riggs-Bennett reflects upon working on Cloud Child rehearsals

‘I work within this performance as a generator: expanding sounds which create invoking atmosphere and textured spacial presence. I sit in a silent box operating each shard of music, transmitted to silhouette the visual aspects of the show. As an engineer I realize the light and sound entwined within a performance is such an important element of texture; it captures the revolving motion of the production, gravitating the storytelling together through childlike sensuality.
