I have had a wonderful time performing FROG PRINCE at some of the loveliest theatre venues in the UK. We kicked off back in February at The Continental in Preston, swiftly followed by The Arc in Stockton, The Waterside, Sale, The Tricycle, London, the beautiful Norden Farm in Maidenhead, The Mill, Banbury, Victoria Hall, Settle, The Quarterhouse in Folkestone – finally finishing this leg of the tour in Halifax at The Square Chapel on May 1st. I will then take some time out to refresh and replenish my performance stores before embarking on a summer tour with the first gig of the season at The Arts Depot, London on the 5th June.
The tour is a complete joy – with children and adults enjoying the antics of Queenie – our storytelling heroine as she positively bounces from the original Grimm’s Frog Prince through to Terry Jones’ gorgeous tales, The Snuff Box & The Rainbow Cat. With a combination of mask, puppetry, shadow and clowning The Frog Prince & Other Peculiar Tales by Terry Jones is proving to be a favourite.
Below are some lovely messages gathered from children all over the UK and a photo of our lovely Rainbow Cat at home with the little girl that Rainbow saved from a life of “cleaning the witches house.” If you want to know more, then come and see the show…………….
