Imaginary Leaps – “Mrs. Teapot’s Transformational Object Play”

The provision of our Imaginary Leaps programme for Rochdale Early Years settings has begun in earnest.  Over a dozen sessions have been completed with some amazingly creative children thoroughly enjoying “learning through play.”  There has been some notable comments by Early Years Practitioners including:

I am shocked – I have never seen the children so engaged” – Emma, Rochdale

“As soon as we completed the initial training day run by Rachel, I came back to nursery, collected all our household objects together, put them in a box with a tub of fabrics and a jar of googly eyes.”  It is remarkable, the children love it – and the results are extraordinary” – Gemma, Teddy Bears, Milnrow.

This is heuristic play – I have studied it at college – its fantastic.”  – Emma, Child Minders, Rochdale.
