Harris the Cat presents Treasure Box

Harris the Cat

Lisa Baxter has written a report for Preston Museums group on the Treasure Box project that we have been helping to develop with the Harris Museum in Preston and Stoneygate Childrens Centre.

She quotes ‘Harris the Cat was a successful addition in that it provided a visual, animated and appealing focal point in relation to the Treasure Boxes. DNA succeeded in endearing the puppet to the children who enjoyed making friends with it. Whilst at this stage in the project’s development, few links were made between the puppet and the Treasure box; DNA’s puppet succeeded in gaining the children’s affestion and attention and could help encourage play and museum attendance through meaningful interactions and positive messaging.’
