First performance of Atishoo! in Singapore

Adam Bennett and Tids Pickard are beginning a season of shows in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, at the invitation of Act 3 International. We’ve just performed the first show of a month long run of shows at the Alliance Francais theatre in Singapore and the Actors Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

Despite the absence of the usual steel frame which supports the rigging for the puppeteered set design, the technical team here has ingeniously created a framing mechanism with rope, wire, string and pulleys which makes the rig feel much more delicate, light and airy.

Childrens audiences in Singapore are lively and chatty and excitable, and they enjoyed the performance and the post show activity session very much. The teachers of the first audience thought the show was pitched just right even for primary 1 students.
